    Description

    Please watch the videos below!
Large sized leather flight jacket of the early 1930´s
    Luftwaffe period.
I am a collector and I also sell some stuff from time to time. I got all the LW jackets.
I have had so many of them together with a friend - and over 25 years I have never
seen a collector or a dealer comming up with this kind of jacket.
The Zippers are all German and D.R.P marked beside the front zipper
all other zippers are branded with Luco ? and several numbers as well as
the German D.R.P. Patent Number. The D.R.P Patent is the most important and is on top of this zipper!
It is biside the brand name. There is also the word Francaise? - foreign Patent Numbers under it. Before the
WWII, Germany had with its Neigbour , France, a good relationship with import and export goods.
I guess - the backside of this zipper has foreign patent numbers. If this would be a foreign zipper
for example - the first hand side would have not the DRP patent with the brand name it would have
had the DRP patent on the backside.
For the knowlege: The Luftwaffe - in the early times - before the 3.rd Rich was formed
made their flight test in the secret ! - in the begin of 1925 ! - you can read this information at wikipedia
and in books and other material - internet for example.
I have had so many stuff and I live in Germany
but I have NEVER seen these mechanical clamp zipper EVER !
They work like a clamp - you pull up the lash and then you can move them up and down
if you push them down - they stop (without a teeth-pin!)
I guess the wool - inner lining has been added to this jacket in a later period of the 1930´s
    to keep the pilot warm.
This jacket has also two collars! - one is with leather - but the backside is wool (thinner)
So that there is added a second collar on top with glass buttons. The fur is outstanding condition
exept for some wear to corners.
This flight jacket has strong - good tanned leather (will last the next 100 years) German tannieries
were much better than the of the US.
This jacket is wearable. But remind - it was fashion to have a short body and long legs. So the body of this jacket is approximate 10 cm shorter than on an A-2 jacket (non fashion variant).
If you want to wear them correct - you need a high waisted 1930/40ties Jeans. There are also
reproductions out. With a flight trouser - its top matching. I am 1,88m 6ft and 2 inch appr. and
my weight is 97 kg. I wear size 44 US in vintage WWII USA garnments and I can wear this jacket.
I have a belly - and I need to open up the side zipper - so that this jacket fits good.
The 16 mm buttons had been removed  (but the loops for the shoulder boards are still present)
I will add the correct 1930´s buttons - you will find them in the pocket - beside - they are
large so that you can put a Luger into it - no Problem.
I have never seen a second one. Never seen these zippers ever!
The size of this jacket is approximate:
    Shoulder / Schulterbreite: 19.68 inch / 50 cm
Armpit to Armpit / Achsel zu Achsel : 23.62 inch / 60 cm
Arm length / Arm Länge 26.77 inch / 68 cm
Back Length without collar/ Rücken ohne Kragen : 21,65 / 55 cm (short fashion 1930s)
I would say a good 44 in my oppinion.
I accept also payment by installments : for example 500 Dollar a month, The jacket
stays in my property as soon as the payment is fully done.
