Victorian Art Nouveau Women's Belt Buckle - Enamel & Brass, Antique 1800s

Description

This is a really nice Victorian women's belt buckle that probably dates to 1880s-1890s. It has a beautiful art nouveau-style floral design with dark and light blue enameling in between. All the details are hand-tooled. On the back there is a manufacturer's stamp that looks like "
FA Co.
" in a circle. I don't know what the metal is; I'm guessing it is a heavy gold-plated copper or brass. It has not been cleaned and it has no tarnishing—that's why I'm guessing it is gold-plated. This reminds me of French or Japanese Cloisonné. The buckle measures 2-3/8" x 2-1/8" and is in good working excellent condition with no missing pieces or cracked enamel or heavy dents or scratches.
