Vintage Payne Java Brown Silk Thread for Bamboo Fly Rods 50 Yds Size 00

For Sale today is a single spool of Vintage  Java Brown Silk Thread for Bamboo Fly Rods 50 Yds Size 00. The color looks accurate on my monitor. This is the closest color match for rewrapping E.F. Payne bamboo fly rods that I have found in 20 years.This thread is spooled onto new wooden spools so that several bamboo rod restorationists can obtain some of these scarce hard to find colors. It is slightly darker than the Rice's Java Beige 3/0 ~
I bought the Rice thread about 20 years ago.
Which is in my personal collection but is not for sale. In the middle is the Belding Corticelli 5115 thread which is more brownish.

Also will be listing silk threads, books on bamboo rods as well as flyfishing state guidebooks.

at the moment I haven't found most of my silk threads as they are yet to be uncovered in my hundreds of moving boxes yet to be opened since I moved to Vermont from Hollywood, CA! So for now, I've only found about 1/3rd of my vintage silk threads. This color is very limited so I know it will sellout quickly. I have found my production spools of some of my silks so I'm not sure which ones I have more available, so if you see a silk color you need, don't hesitate to buy.
